Our sixth recipe for IRON BREWER, round 6 comes from Ronen Assayag.  Ronen’s entry into IRON BREWER is a “Citra-Achra Ale -The Dark Side”.  Here is his  recipe!

Batch Size: 5.5 gal
Original Gravity: 1.050
Final Gravity: 1.015
IBU: 47
ABV: 4.7%
Yeast: White Labs Burton Ale Yeast (WLP023)

Grain Bill:
9lb Maris Otter malt
1lb Munich malt
1/2lb Caramel 60L malt
1/2lb Cara-Pils (Dextrine) malt
1/2lb Chocolate malt

Mash Schedule:
Mash w/ 4.5 gal @ 150 for 60 min
Sparge w/ 3 gal @ 170

Hop Schedule:
First Wort Hop:
1/4oz  Citra 11.1%AA (Whole)
1/4oz  Amarillo 7.4%AA (Pellets)
1/4oz Simcoe 12.2%AA (Pellets)

Same as FWH
5 min:
Same as FWH
0 min:
1/2oz  Citra 11.1%AA (Whole)
1/2oz  Williamette 4.8%AA (Whole)

Additions:
1 tsp. Irish moss @ 15 min.
1.5 oz Organic Red Rooibos Tea @ 0 min.
1.5 oz Organic Tulsi (Holy) Basil @ 0 min.

Dry hop in secondary:
1 oz  Citra (Whole)
1 oz Organic Red Rooibos Tea
